John W. Davis is a diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and has been in practice since 2004. Dr. Davis completed his fellowship at Texas Heart Institute with world-renowned heart surgeon Denton Cooley. During his fellowship training he was also busy at MD Anderson performing a variety of surgical procedures for diseases of the lungs and esophagus. He currently specializes in complex operations of the heart, lung, and blood vessels, with a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques to treat venous and arterial diseases of the lower extremities.

Andrea McNiel, M.S., PA-C, is a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with Texas Heart and Vein. She has over 14 years of experience in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery. She has a special interest in venous disease and provides day to day oversite and patient care in our vein clinics. She performs vein procedures and ablations, phlebectomies, and sclerotherapy treatments. She sees and manages patients in the clinic, in the hospital, and assists in surgery. She works closely with Dr. Davis to provide a collaborative approach to the management and treatment of patients with cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and venous diseases.

Andrea completed a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studies from Baylor College of Medicine in 2004. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Boise State University in 2002. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery (APACVS) where she focused on cardiac and thoracic surgical education and training for Physician Assistants. Andrea is married and has 3 children. On her days off she can frequently be found at the soccer or baseball fields cheering on her children’s teams, enjoying movies with her family, running, or scrapbooking.

Jennifer Falcone, M.S., PA-C, is a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with Davis Vein and Vascular Center.  She has over 16 years of experience in surgical subspecialties, including reconstructive surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center, specialized wound care services in nursing facilities as well as cardiovascular surgery.  She strongly believes in preventative care and managing patient’s overall cardiovascular health by setting obtainable goals and emphasizing early detection and treatment.  In clinic you will find her actively participating in consults, follow ups and procedures to evaluate and treat diseases of the carotids, heart, lower extremity arteries and veins, dialysis access as well as treatment of complex wounds.  Treating patients like family and developing a teamwork approach to overcome cardiovascular disease processes is of utmost importance to Jennifer.  She has a passion for providing comprehensive health for all patients and educating not only the patient, but the family members as well.

Jennifer completed a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Baylor College of Medicine in 2006.  She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2004 (WHOOP!).  She is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiovascular Surgery (APACVS) and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association (TGCPAA).  Previous memberships include American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants (AASPA) and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA) where she led multiple training courses for students that focused on suturing and surgical techniques for those interested in going into the surgical field as a PA after graduation.  Jennifer knew early on that she wanted to become a PA and was active with Future Aggie Physician Assistants (FAPA) during her time at Texas A&M as well. 

Jennifer is married and has 3 boys.  In her spare time you can likely find her bouncing between sporting events and kid activities.  Jennifer loves to travel, outdoor activities such as hiking and running, and family game/movie nights.  She is proud to be a part of Davis Vein and Vascular and looks forward to extending their services throughout the greater Houston area.

Elise Applegate, M.S., PA-C, is a board certified Physician Assistant with Davis Vein and Vascular Center. She has over 10 years of experience with emergent/urgent medicine, family practice, and oncologic surgical subspecialities. She has a special interest in preventative medicine and likes to include nutrition and exercise counseling within her vascular treatment plan. She also enjoys cosmetic intervention including superficial vein treatment (sclerotherapy) and botulinum toxin injections (Botox) administration. 

Elise graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2012 with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies and from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2010 in Natural Science. Elise is married with two children. In her spare time you can find her reading, working out, traveling, and baking.
